Step by Step Guild to Optimized Routing
There are three ways that you can optimize your day.
1. Anytime Visits
Routing by anytime visits automatically arranges the day's events based on proximity.
When routing by anytime visits, you will need to put in a start and end location. This is done in the main routing settings.
2. Scheduled Jobs/Estimates
Routing by scheduled visits automatically arranges the day's events based the scheduled time.
3. Both Anytime and Scheduled
Routing by both, allows you to drag and drop your route for the day utilizing anytime visits and scheduled visits.
Let's go over each one step by step...
First, head over to your settings page where you can find the settings for routing.
Once in settings, navigate to 'Routing'.
Once you're in the settings for routing, you'll need to select which optimization type you want as default. We'll start with anytime visits.
1. Anytime Visits
To optimize your day with anytime visits, select anytime visits. If optimizing by anytime visits, a starting address will be needed- with an ending address being optional.
Once you are finished, just hit save.
Ok, let's check out the routes, which are located in the map view > Click Schedule > Then click Map Icon.
Once you are on the map view, the route will auto populate with anytime visits in the route. If you have scheduled events, they will appear below the route. If you don't have any scheduled visits, you won't see anything below.
