Save huge amounts of time and keep your customers in the loop before, during, and after work! We have included fully customizable email and text (SMS) templates that are used when sending notifications to your customers.

Customizable email and text notifications are available for the following actions:

Job Scheduled

OMW (On My Way)

Send Invoice

Send Estimate

Send Visit Details

Invoice Follow-ups

Estimate Follow-ups

Smart Variables can be added to your templates so that Servgrow will automatically populate the information specific to a certain customer for you.

For example if you use the variable {{customer_first_name}} in a notification, it would plug in the customer first name where that variable appears. So if you have "Hi {{customer_first_name}}" in your template, the message would send with "Hi John Smith" filled out.

In your settings, emails and text notifications are all set up and edited on the communications page. Click to go to your communications page.

Note: Customers need to have text messages enabled to receive SMS messages.

Setting up and editing your email and text Notifications: Step-by-step Instructions

1. Click the cogwheel icon found on the upper right-hand corner of your page to access Account Settings.

2. Next, click the 'Communication' tile under the Account Settings page.

3. General Notifications

Changing and customizing a notification

In General Notifications, just click on the notification you would like to edit. It will open up two sections to edit, text and email. Click the editable section to bring up the example on the right side.

When the example is brought up on the right side of the edit area, the smart variables will display a sample text message notification. This sample text message represents an example of what the customer will see when they receive the notification.

Note: If smart variables are used, they will show 'general' information in the example. The real notification will have the correct information related to your customer and your company.

Text Notification

Text message replies: If you don't have Two-Way SMS on your plan, you will not be able to receive replies to your text notifications. Make sure you add a phone number for them to reply to at the end of your message.

Example: To make any changes, please call {{business_phone}}.

Note: There is a 160 character limit on text messages. At this time we only support text in these messages, so we can't use in the templates. This is mainly to protect against phone companies (like AT&T or Verizon) blocking our phone numbers from your clients receiving text messages.

In order for clients to receive text message reminders they must have a phone number that is set to receive text messages. Only mobile numbers can receive text messages.

Email notification

Email Replies: All Servgrow emails are sent through notification@servgrow.com. If a customer replies back to an email from Servgrow, Servgrow will send that email to the email your have in your company settings.

When you finished editing, just click 'Save and Set Live'.

Now do this for all notifications in the General Notifications section and you're all set!
