Servgrow's 2-way text messaging feature enables you to initiate and maintain a back and forth communication (with a custom number) with your customers right within the platform, allowing you to stay productive without the need to toggle between different applications.
đ Existing customers get 300 text messages (segments) a month at no additional costs.
Text (SMS) messages are measured in character batches called message segments.
âIf you send a message containing up to 160 characters, it will be sent out as 1 segment.
âBut when you send a message containing more than 160 characters, it will be split into 2 segments with 153 + 8 characters. So, starting from the 2nd segment, the characters limit per segment will be 153.
âYou can see the number of segments right after the number of characters you type in Inbox when you compose a message.
*System notifications like appointment reminders, invoice/estimate follow ups, etc DO NOT factor into the 300 text messages.
Note: 2-way text messaging isn't available while on the free trial period. You have the option to wait or activate the plan early. To activate the plan early, start a chat below!
Before updating your plan to 2-way text, let's first check to see if you already have access to the feature.
To check access, navigate to 2-way text. If you see the below message, you don't have access and will need to update your plan.
If you don't see the message, you can start the process of setting up your 2-way text message feature. Go here for information on setting up 2-way text.

Updating plan to 2way text:
If you're an existing customer without access to 2way text, all you need to do is 'Update' your existing plan.
1. Head over to 'Billing'
2. Select 'Update Plan' on the billing page
3. Find the plan that starts with 'Existing Customer Upgrade:' and then click select and continue.
After updating to the 2-way plan, head over to 2-way text messaging to get set up!
