Tags play an important role in distinguishing specific customer characteristics such as: customer routes, commercial vs. residential, or any other details that identify and or group customers.

Using keywords to describe the customer and the work you perform for a customer can give you invaluable data. Data you can use to understand sales, customers, hot selling products and services, low selling products and services.

For example, a Pest Control Business may want to know how many jobs they have done for termites, rodents, scorpions, residential and commercial. Or they might want to send customer campaigns for customers who have received scorpion treatment.

You can add tags to the following scenarios:

Adding a New Customer

Adding tags to every customer, you add in ServGrow organizes your list of customers and significantly speeds up your customers' sorting once you have a massive customer list.

For this example, we want to sort customers under "Commercial Property. You can also add more tags to this section if needed.

With our tags' help, we can search for a customer under a residential or commercial property. Once you click on the Tags section, all the tags you have created will be seen from here.

Creating a New Job

You can easily find a job if you're starting to build your job records and create a few. But once your company grows and gets more jobs, it will be overwhelming to find or sort a group of jobs that you want to find out. To solve this problem, we have added the option of adding tags for each job you create.

You can sort jobs based on their tags from the Jobs Dashboard or the Individual Job Records. Once you click on the Tags area, all the created tags will be seen here.

Creating a New Estimate

Similar to adding tags to a new job, adding tags to every estimate you create gives you the edge of tracking all the estimates you created within ServGrow.

Click on the Tags area and choose the tags you want to sort out on your list of estimates.

Job Details

If you didn't have the chance to add a tag while creating a new job, you could have that added later on from the Individual Job Dashboard.

From the Jobs Dashboard, choose a job that you want to update.

Add an existing tag or create a new tag for this job. Once you are done, click 'Update Job'.

Adding a New Employee

Tags are not only applicable when adding a new job or estimate. They can also be assigned to one of your employees. Adding a tag to an employee lets you identify their role or department to which they're assigned.
