The fastest way to get value from Servgrow is to set it up in the right order. Do it this way and by the end of the week you will have sent a professional estimate, booked and finished a job, and been paid for it, with reminders, texts and follow-up campaigns going out on their own. Each day below takes about an hour, and every step links to a full tutorial with screenshots.
Day 1: Make it yours
Everything a customer sees from you uses these details, so start here.
Fill in your company profile: logo, business name, phone, address, time zone and working hours. See Company Profile.
Look around your settings so you know where everything lives. See Account Settings Dashboard.
Add your services and prices so quoting and invoicing take seconds. The Price Book Builder fills it for you in minutes, and the Price Book article shows how to fine-tune it.
Day 2: Bring in your team and your customers
Add your employees so you can schedule and dispatch them. See How to Add an Employee.
Give each person the right access, so techs see their jobs and the office sees the money. See Employee Permissions and Roles.
Import your customer list from a spreadsheet, or add customers one at a time. See Import or Export a Customer List and How to Add a Customer.
Day 3: Set up how you get paid
Turn on Servgrow Payments so customers can pay by card or bank right from their invoice. See How to Set up Servgrow Payments.
Set your invoice rules once: numbering, due terms and what the customer sees. See Invoice Settings.
Day 4: Put your follow-ups on autopilot
Do this before your first job, so every customer gets the full experience from day one. Anything that happens before your messages are on never gets a follow-up.
Turn on automatic notifications for bookings, estimates and invoices. See Email and Text Notifications.
Add appointment reminders to cut no-shows. See Appointment Reminders and Follow-ups.
Send On My Way texts so customers know when you will arrive. See On My Way Texts.
Switch on your first three campaigns: a check-in and review request after every job, a welcome for every new customer, and a win-back message for customers who go quiet. Each is a ready-made recipe. See Custom Campaigns.
Turn on online booking so customers can book you at any hour. See Online Booking.
Day 5: Quote it, book it, schedule it
Send your first estimate with clear options the customer can approve online. See Creating an Estimate.
Turn the approved estimate into a job. See Turning Estimates Into Jobs, or create a job directly.
Put it on the calendar and assign a tech. See How to Schedule Jobs and Estimates.
End of the week: finish the job and get paid
Complete the job and send the invoice in one step. See How to Invoice Completed Jobs.
Track who has paid and who still owes you. See Invoices.
Check your dashboard to see the week at a glance. See Your Servgrow Dashboard.
When you are ready for more
Recurring revenue: sell service plans that schedule and bill themselves.
Bookkeeping: connect QuickBooks so nothing gets typed twice.
Your website: put your Servgrow website on your own domain.
In the field: your team can call customers from the mobile app.
Tips
Do one day at a time. Each step builds on the one before it, so following the order saves rework.
Try it on yourself first. Add yourself as a customer and send yourself an estimate and an invoice to see exactly what customers get.
